Take a leisurely ride through the snow on horseback. This ride is perfect for anyone wanting to experience Colorado in winter. Stroll along meadows, Muddy Creek and a mountain bench meadow while being surrounded by snow covered mountains and peaks. From the novice to the experienced, a wonderful ride to enjoy the Colorado snow. Children must be 6 years old to enjoy this trail ride. The Winter Trail Ride is offered at 10:30am and 1:30pm for 1-hour or 1.5-hour rides.

Offered as a 2 1/2 hour evening, guests are transported to and from their homes and lodges in the Vail/Beaver Creek area to the Ranch by comfortable, reliable transportation. Huge Belgian Draft Horses pull working ranch sleighs across open fields throughout the evening, offering rides both before and after dinner. Centered around the Historic Nelson Cabin with it’s open-hearth fireplace.
What to expect?
- Begin with our ‘award winning’ Steak Chili as an appetizer
- Followed by a bountiful Ranch Buffet:

Babyback BBQ Ribs
Grilled Chicken Breast
Hot Fruit Cobbler
Yummy Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Marshmallows roasted over an open fire off the porch of the Cabin.
- Live musical entertainment is provided throughout the night by a singer/guitarist, featuring a mix of songs, styles and sing-alongs.
